We're in the midst of an all-church emphasis at Faith on "Life's Healing Choices" by John Baker.  Baker is the key leader at Saddleback Church in Orange, California for Celebrate Recovery, the popular and successful Christian treatment program for overcoming life's "hurts, hang-ups and habits."  It's also the church where popular author and pastor Rick Warren works.  Baker's book is basically "CR light."

I've been thinking about a succinct way to describe the key Biblical principle behind Baker's book and CR.  I've come to the conclusion that it's all about who's in control of our lives, Jesus or me, myself and I.  The point is quickly taken.  The more it's all about me, the more self-centered and out of balance I become.  The more it's all about Jesus?  The more possibilities to lead a life I was uniquely created for.

What do those possibilities look like?  May we enjoy the journey in continually finding out...
